Step 1: Spot Where You Resist
Reflect on these four areas. Write, think, or talk it out - whatever works best for you.
Tasks you procrastinate on – the ones that get pushed down your to-do list even though you know they matter.
Goals you avoid – big things you say you want, but never seem to make room for.
Uncomfortable situations you sidestep – conversations, boundaries, or experiences you keep postponing.
Habits that don’t serve you – the patterns you know are holding you back, but repeat anyway.
Step 2: Explore the “Why”
For each item, ask: What about this feels uncomfortable? What fear, belief, or story is keeping me stuck here?
This step is about curiosity, not judgment. Awareness is powerful on its own.
Step 3: Map Your Steps
Now, create a second column next to your “why.” Write out one or more actionable steps you could take to move from resistance to progress. These don’t need to be big or dramatic. In fact, the smaller the better.
Instead of “launch the whole project,” write “set up the spreadsheet.”
Instead of “quit the habit forever,” write “pause for one mindful breath before doing it.”
Step 4: Make a Small Daily Promise
